Research

The University's brilliant researchers are responsible for breakthroughs that are felt around the world. NUS has given particular support to strategic programmes that capitalise on our existing research talent and strengths: Biomedical and Life Sciences; Physical Sciences and Engineering (headlined by vibrant research hubs such as the NUS Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Initiative, Materials Science and Engineering Initiative, InfoComm and InfoTech Initiative, and defence); and Humanities and Social Sciences, with a focus on Asian issues.

Any amount is appreciated; for $625,000 (endowed) or $150,000 (expendable), you gain the possibility of supporting faculty research in your name.

In February 2006, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong launched the NOL Fellowship Fund in honour of a $10 million gift from Neptune Orient Lines Ltd. The fund will support research and exchange on maritime transport, essential to ensuring Singapore’s place as a next-generation global hub.
