The NUS community showed their support for students by participating in Annual Giving 08 with 358 faculty and staff university-wide making gifts to student bursaries and scholarships.

We hope that more faculty and staff will come forward and participate in Annual Giving 09. Launched on 1 April 2009, we want you to join us as we work towards helping transform our students’ lives, and enable our University to do its best to educate, innovate and be of service to the community.

Payroll giving is an additional option offered to all staff for their convenience. Make your gift through payroll deduction here.

Asst Prof Irene Ng

"These days, tertiary education is more expensive but essential for earnings opportunities. I came from a middle-class family, but got through my undergraduate and graduate studies through loans, scholarships and part-time work. What more for those who come from less well-to-do families? A little aid can go very far to level the playing field."
Asst Prof Irene Ng, NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences

Prof Lim Tit Meng

“It is more blessed to give than to receive. When I was an NUS student, I received scholarships that came from donations. My university education has given me the career and capacity to become a donor.”
A/S Professor Lim Tit Meng '84, Vice Dean, NUS Faculty of Science

Albert Ang

“It is a joy to give and you will be happy to know that your gift will help a deserving student to realise his dream of getting a university education.”
Mr Albert Ang, Engineer, NUS Centre for Remote Imaging, Sensing and Processing

Andrew Edward Santosa

“I was simply trying to help the poor, with a hope that those who are truly fond of learning would not be hindered by their financial condition.”
Mr Andrew Edward Santosa, Research Assistant, NUS Department of Computer Science
